Darius Emadi is an American clown, performer, and artist, recently returning to New York City after eight years in europe

A graduate of the renowned École Philippe Gaulier in France, Darius discovered his unique style of performing and comedy under the guidance of master clown Philippe Gaulier from 2016 to 2018. Notable alumni of the school include Sacha Baron Cohen, Phil Burgers (Dr. Brown), and Viggo Venn.

Known for his energetic, subversive performances that blend physical theatre, improvisation, and joyful absurdity, Darius creates beautifully bizarre, alive shows that push the boundaries of conventional comedy, deeply rooted in the European clowning tradition. His work has been showcased at major festivals across the globe, including the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, Brighton Fringe Festival, Norway Clown Festival, Oslo Humorfest, Tampere Clown Festival, and Off Hedda (Oslo), with tours spanning Norway, the UK, France, Finland, and the United States.

Darius is currently crafting a new solo show set to tour the international festival circuit this winter, and debut at the Edinburgh Fringe in 2025.
